Our Mission is to Preserve & Protect the Tranquil and Treasured Red Rocks.

Our intent is to find a SOLUTION that works for all involved, including the landowner. This would involve, but is not limited to, working in an amiable way with the current private landowners, to place this parcel into a Land Trust, a designated Open Space, or Conservation Easement. This would compensate the landowners, and permanently preserve and protect our treasured Red Rocks.

Our Mission

To permanently preserve and protect the tranquil and treasured Red Rocks, in the middle of Arrowhead Golf course, within our Roxborough Park residential community. Our intent is to gain agreement with the existing landowners to place this parcel into a Conservation Easement or to sell the parcel to someone or some entity who will place it into a Conservation Easement.

Our Strategy

To inform Roxborough Park homeowners of the current state of this property which is that it is under contract to be commercially developed into a Nordic Day Spa.  To develop relationships and gather intelligence from third parties about conservation easements, landowner objectives, ARCIS (owner of Arrowhead) objectives, and Douglas County Commissioners.

Our Objectives

1.     To develop and execute a team of neighborhood volunteers to help educate neighbors about this situation during the Summer of 2022.

2.     To ask neighborhood homeowners and other concerned citizens to send letters in opposition to each of the Douglas County Commissioners who will ultimately vote as to whether to convert this existing property from residential zoning to commercial zoning.  NOW!

3.     To inform and educate ARCIS golf of the specifics of the situation during the Summer of 2022.

4.     To partner with RPF HOA management and board to work together on an on-going basis.

5.     To develop a relationship with the landowners to  educate them about their option for a Conservation Easement in the Spring 2022.

6.     To develop a pro-forma for the landowners for Conservation Easement consideration by the Summer 2022.

7.     To plan and execute a fundraising campaign to raise funds to purchase the property and place into a Conservation Easement with management by a Land Trust organization should the landowners be unwilling to place the property into an easement of their own by the Fall of 2022.
